After receiving her Baccalaureate degree from New York University, Dr. Augoustiniatos earned her Doctor of Medicine at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and completed both her internship and residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center (SBUMC). Dr. Augoustiniatos is one of the original physicians who spearheaded the success of the Long Island State Veterans Home, a university based long term care facility at SBUMC. As an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at SBUMC, she continues to teach medical students, residents and nurse practitioners in her out-patient clinical practice.
Dr. Augoustiniatos has been in practice since 1991 and holds the title of Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). In addition, Dr. Augoustiniatos has her NYS Certification in Acupuncture since 2004 and is Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine through the A4M since 2007. Her passion is to identify the root causes of her patient’s disease and empower her patients by providing them with the tools that will allow them to regain and maintain their health. Dr. Augoustiniatos has successfully combined Internal Medicine, Acupuncture, Age Management Medicine, nutritional guidance and pharmaceutical-grade supplements in order to optimize the health and quality of life of her patients.

Dr. Darla Lynch received her Baccalaureate degree from Manhattan College and her Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed both her internship and residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center (SBUMC). Dr. Lynch is Board Certified in Family Medicine, holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Columbia University and is a NYS Certified Acupuncturist. She provides an Integrative Medicine approach combining traditional Western medicine, Eastern medicine and nutritional counseling, and has been in practice since 1997.
Dr. Lynch’s passion is to maximize her patients’ quality of life by using hormone evaluation and optimization, clinical nutrition and acupuncture to support and restore her patients’ normal physiology and function as they transition through life. She forms integrative plans for fatigue, insomnia, thyroid disease, perimenopause, and metabolic syndrome. In addition to serving as a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Lynch has a special interest and many years of experience in noninvasive pain management including acupuncture, dry needling, trigger point injections and an innovative migraine treatment, sphenopalatine ganglion block. She uses these and other modalities combined with supplements and/or medication to treat neck pain, sciatica, muscle spasms, migraines and fibromyalgia. Ms. Elizabeth Kollar received a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a Master of Science degree as a Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Stony Brook. Prior to completing her Nurse Practitioner (NP) training, she worked as a Registered Nurse for over eight years at SBUMC working with adult and geriatric medicine patients. Elizabeth is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Nurse Practitioner Association of NYS and its Long Island Chapter, NPALI. She has been a member of the East Farmingdale Volunteer Fire Company since 1996, is still an active firefighter and EMT-B, and has held the positions of Rescue Lieutenant and Rescue Captain.
Ms. Kollar received part of her NP training under the supervision of Dr. Augoustiniatos and subsequently joined Evia Medical Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2006. Elizabeth provides our patients with urgent medical care, routine follow-up visits as well as nutritional and weight loss counseling. She regularly attends various continuing education and update events in Internal and Integrative Medicine.
Ece Algur holds a Master of Science degree in Health Sciences/Oriental Medicine and is NCCAOM Board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She holds a New York State License in Acupuncture and also holds her California State License in Oriental Medicine. She works closely with the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) in educating the public and health professionals in the benefits of acupuncture and in utilizing a holistic approach in medicine.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is Ece’s second career and third milestone in her life. After pursuing her first career as a medical physician specializing in Radiation Oncology in Istanbul, Turkey, Dr. Algur took a leave from practicing medicine to take care of her family. She subsequently returned to the medical field, this time from a different perspective. Now as a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, her passion is to be a healer who provides a holistic approach in medicine in order to maximize the effectiveness of her treatments.
Danielle Lindsay is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of New York. She received her Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from the New York College of Health Professions. Danielle’s training includes various techniques including Japanese style, traditional Chinese, 5-Element, auricular, cupping, gua sha, acupressure, nutrition, and western bio-science. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from the Johns Hopkins University.
Danielle is very passionate about natural, holistic health. She has a gentle touch and believes it is important to listen to the patient. Besides acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, she also has interests in western herbs, natural supplements, nutrition, and likes to incorporate yoga, Qi Gong and meditation into a healthy lifestyle.
